About the Author
"Chaz Lilly is a fiction writer from Georgia, currently pursuing an MFA at the University of Arkansas. His work focuses on life in the rural South and those living outside the margins of polite society.
Over the years, Chaz has slowly rambled from East Texas to the Louisiana Delta to Southern Appalachia and back again. Those travels continue to shape the people and places in his stories. He’s drawn to characters who live on the edge of belief—caught between the past and whatever comes next. His influences include David Joy, Harry Crews, Tom Franklin, and the rest of the “grit lit” crowd.
Chaz is currently scribbling stories and hoping something lasting emerges from his time in the Ozarks. When he’s not writing, he’s probably on a porch with a drink, a dog, and an old sad song. "
